Species text
This ground beetle was first recorded in Britain from Rainham in 1995, although it was first found in Suffolk in 1976, but went unrecognized until later. It has since been found in a small number of coastal localities in the south-east of England, with only four 10km squares shown in Luff (1998). However P.R. Harvey has found the species inland in 2000 (Harvey, 2000b) and a number of new localities in the East Thames Corridor. It may be a recent colonist, but it may have been overlooked in the past.
